Due to comments by other ccp members, that have already been linked in this thread, I also expected more. However, I'm not upset at the simpler changes the ships have, I don't mind calling them animations, but really ccp, they aren't "transformations".
As for the Paladin, which is the only marauder I'm interested in, I really do like the extra heavy armor plate look it has now. Really has the armored war machine look. I can't wait to see the final paint job.
To Bunnyvirus and the art team, I would like to say, We only expected more because of what we were told. I fully support you guys because you have shown us really wonderful 3d work in the past. The marauders are a bit shaky now, but they are not finished, and I hope people will to be patient. |

OMG people, relax.
They aren't finished. The golem isn't finished, the paladin has wrong textures, the vargur doesn't seem to even have any textures and missing part of the model. The only one that looks mostly done is the kronos.
We still don't know if there will be any fancy lighting or some type of effect when they go bastion. Give the art guys a chance. |

To be honest, I have flown the golem in the past, nearly max skilled for it and the paladin. I stopped using it because of its crooked flight patten, and the asymmetrical look just got on my nerves. After a few dozen missions, I just couldn't stand to look at it. It didnt even fly on its center-line, the golems center of movement is off to the right side. When I heard they were redesigning it, I really was looking forwards to that. I hoped it would be symmetrical like the rokh, and had plans to start flying it again. However, after seeing what the new one is, its permanently scratched off my list of ships to use. |

The marauder textures seem to be finished now on test server.
All of them look great I have to say. I really like the finished Paladin paint job, very nice. Detail on the Golem and Vargur is impressive.
Great job CCP Bunnyvirus and the Art Department! |

Katrina Oniseki wrote:I can't use Bastion, but I noticed the Kronos and Paladin have glowing details on their bits. Does the Golem also have details on the glowing internal bits?
EDIT: This post sounds so wrong...
Yes it does. You can actually see the glowing parts without bastion on both ships. Just zoom in and take a good look from upper or lower angle, the doors on the golem don't close off the front completely. |

Katrina Oniseki wrote:That isn't what I meant. If you look at the Paladin, it has what looks like glowing circuitry, instead of just a plastic wrap effect. If you look at this video, you'll notice that circuitry stuff was not always there. The Kronos has glowing greeble and pillars and such as well. The last time I looked at the Golem in bastion, it was just untextured grey rods that had some glowing 'plastic wrap' over them, just like the early Paladin. I wanted to know if there had been any textures added to the Golem's internals besides that plastic wrap overlay.
Golem was updated with a lightning texture for the bars that are attached to the doors. Also, under the open doors, on the hull side, is a line of lights that pulse from back to front. No circuitry like the paladin has though. |
